Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a form of health care that identifies, corrects, and prevents acute or prolonged impaired functions of movement of an anatomic or physiologic beginning.

Disabilities may be due to injury, strain, disease, or to the normal wear and tear of age leading to weak muscle disorders.

Years of poor posture can also contribute to muscle disorders, which result in pain and restricted movement. Physical Therapy can often prevent permanent damage and relieve pain as well as discomfort if started in time.

Physical Therapy is the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and disability through physical means. Whether you have an acute back injury, balance problems, have just had surgery, or have chronic knee pain, our physical therapists can help you address your problem and improve your level of function and activity.

We are experts in human movement and can help through hands-on manual techniques, instruction, exercise, and listening and acting on your goals.

If you feel that you may be in the need of physical therapy and you do not have a referral, you may make an appointment for an assessment only. After the assessment, your physician will be contacted for an appropriate referral, if deemed necessary.

After every evaluation, a plan of care is dictated and sent to your referring health care provided that will include our evaluation findings, goals to be met, planned treatment ideas, and frequency of visits. This plan of care is a regulatory component of the rehabilitation services and also serves as documented communication between health professionals.
