Eyad Izar DPT, MS, PT - Owner and President
Dr. Eyad is the president of Commitment Physical Therapy. He is a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Illinois. He has been practicing in the Chicago land area for more than 19 years. Also, he has been in private practice for 6 years.
Dr. Eyad graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Cairo University, Egypt in 1985. He holds a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy, and in 2009 he obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions located in Provo, Utah.
His area of expertise is providing and following rehabilitation programs for patients with orthopedic injuries: Joint replacements, chronic pain, neurological deficits and cardiovascular disorders. His skills include advanced state of the art manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, vestibular (balance) rehab and more.
Dr. Eyad also performs Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies. These studies help in finding the cause of the problems in the muscle and the nerves such as weakness, paralysis, or muscle twitching. These disorders may include carpal tunnel syndrome, a herniated disc, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or myasthenia gravis (MG).
He brings with him the knowledge and experience he gained for over 23 years since he was a staff and students supervisor Physical Therapist at the Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic, at Cairo University Hospitals, Egypt.
Dr. Eyad's success indication is to see his patients recover completely and return back to being beneficial and productive for themselves, their families and their community.
Naglaa Elskenidy DSc, MS, PT - Owner and Vice President
Dr. Naglaa completed her Doctorate of Science Degree in Clinical Electrophysiology (EMG and Nerve Studies) in 2005 at Rocky Mountain University of Health Profession located in Provo, Utah. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1996 at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science located in North Chicago, Illinois. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy was completed in 1990 at Cairo University in Egypt.
Dr. Naglaa is currently a full-time on-site Clinical Manager, out-patient Rehab Director and the Vice President of Commitment Physical Therapy. With her she brings over 19 years of experience as a Physical Therapist and 4 years of experience as an Electromyographer. She has focused on adult outpatient orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation. She also enjoys hands on rehabilitation as well as balance and fall prevention programs.
She is a member of several professional organizations such as the American Physical Therapy Association, Illinois Physical Therapy Association, Arthritis Foundation and WorkWell Incorporation. Dr. Naglaa has also published two books about Low Back Pain and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and she is a licensed Physical therapist in the state of Illinois.
Dr. Naglaa is married to the president, Dr. Eyad Izar, and they have three lovely and wonderful daughters. She loves to read mostly medical books and she also enjoys bowling in her spare time with her daughters. But, shopping is her favorite hobby.
